Moor To Life
at Dartmoor Zoo

Moor to Life Education & Wellbeing CIC and Dartmoor Zoo have an excellent opportunity to create a unique wellbeing program focusing on human connection with nature.

The wellbeing spaces that have been constructed to a very high & safe standard by Splash Projects and the Imprial Business School students provide unique areas that promote learning, encourage positivity and provide places of zen.

The spaces will be used to deliver collaborative education programs especially on the importance of sustainability and caring for the environment. These key areas will be immersed in all the Moor to Life CIC Programs and are consistent with the ethical back bone of the Dartmoor Zoo. We aim to engage the community in conservation programs and promote the Zoo to the wider community.

The collaboration between Moor To Life CIC and the Dartmoor Zoo can create ecological, environmental and education support programs that are mutually beneficial.

The Dartmoor Zoo is dedicated to encouraging, supporting and conducting animal research that improves captive animal management. Moor To Life would like the opportunity to get involved in management projects to get a better understanding of the critical role that the Zoo plays in animal conservation.

As part of the Moor to Life Creativity & Vocational Programs, especially in woodwork & crafts, we can work closely with the zoo to make enrichment and enhancement animal objects. Only environmentally friendly and recycled materials will be used for all crafting and production.

The spaces, when not in use by Moor To Life CIC will be fully accessible to the public and potentially could be hired out to organisations who may wish to host events and deliver programs. The revenue created for hire of the spaces can be reinvested to develop the wellbeing program further.
